We are excited to announce the iNethi app powered by our bespoke backend services here (https://github.com/iNethi/backend). Our Android app allows users to interact with iNethi services in a unified place no matter their location. Whether connected to an iNethi network or not they can interact with iNethi services hosted locally or globally. The app manages what you connect to based on your network status. The app is currently going through usability tests and codesign workshops with the Ocean View community members in South Africa.
As you can see below when a new user creates an account and logs into the app they have the option to connect to various iNethi services or create an iNethi wallet.
If the user decides to watch content on Jellyfin, for example, they will be directed to the service from within the app and can enjoy the content at their leisure. If they are within an iNethi network this content will be loaded from their local server else it will come from our global iNethi server.
When a user decides to create a wallet they will simply need to give their wallet a name and the iNethi system will create an ERC-20 wallet for them and send them gas. This means they can transact and start trading using an iNethi voucher without administrative intervention.
Users can generate a QR code and save it so other users can scan it and transfer tokens directly to their wallet from within the app. Alternatively, users can send vouchers to another user using their iNethi username or their wallet address.
